Cam class
Hey guys, glad it almost time to start again. Will we be running just one CAM class or are we sub dividing it? See you all on the 1st.

Re: Cam class
A composite class is the way to go with local regions; and a pax of say .830.

Re: Cam class
As I said on the other thread, I would like to see a combined CAM group with points and trophies awarded based on PAX adjusted times for C (0.830), T (0.825) and S (0.836). But the difference is fairly small and will likely be overwhelmed by the differences in car prep and driving skill, at least in the beginning.
I hope Jim's car is legal. I'd love to see that car on 200TW tires. That would really be an E ticket ride.

Mike and I drove it on street tires 200tw the 1st 2 or 3 years we auto crossed. Your right it was a wild ride. Just to be clear I plan on running xp this year but if we can get approval for cam I might run that next year. We'll see

Re: Cam class
It is clear to me that we shouldn't run the 2350lb class (CAM-S) with the same pax as the two 3000lb CAM classes.
It is not clear to me that the two 3000lb CAM classes shouldn't run on one pax.
Running them all in one class and different pax factors doesn't bother me, if that's what we're getting at.

Yes. That's it exactly.Running them all in one class and different pax factors doesn't bother me, if that's what we're getting at.

Re: Cam class
One class is fine with me but it would be nice with the PAX

Re: Cam class
If my car proves to be reliable and competitive I might jump in to pro. The pax may not be as good next year. This is now a national class so that shouldn't be a problem should it? I would like to keep the classes divided. I haven't been to an event in a while but if the folks at registration will talk the eligible cars into running their appropriate CAM class instead of STM I think there would be plenty of cars.

Re: Cam class
Hey john, I would prefer the classes be separate, but last season there were only a few of us. It's nice to have someone in your class to compete against

Re: Cam class
Hi all,
For 2015, the Solo Committee have decided we will be running all CAM classes together in an index class, just like Pro and Novice. Adjustments will be made to our registration forms and there's no need for you to edit your registration, we'll take care of it.
CAM Indexes are:
CAM-C: 0.830
CAM-T: 0.825
CAM-S: 0.836
Should CAM prove to be incredibly popular and if it seems like we would be able to have multiple cars in each CAM class, then we may look at separating them in 2016. But for now, it seems like we will be able to have a nice 4-5 car class at most events by running this way.
