After getting home late last night, I didn't get a chance to post. Just a really big site with the smoothest pavement I have ever seen, no pores in the asphalt at all. Chris Harp did more than just win pro, he saved the timing problems that crashed the computer and be glad to know etr is not the only region with timing issues as we had several delays but it was a really big place and lots of room to have any type course you would want to run on. Chris laid the smack down on pro and James Cathers would have been 2nd if not for cones on his fastest runs and James was 5th in pro. I think I finished 10th in pro . Lin drove the mustang for the first time in a true autox event and did just great and got a 42.xxx raw time but two cones and had she been clean on that run she would have been 4th overall in open esp out of 8 drivers and skirted 4 men. Her first run was a bit of a adventure as she thought she was still in the miata and didn't have to lift and that sent her into a spin and almost running over Harp in the process, I wish I had the video running to show you all that Harp can really move when a big car is closing ground on him....lol All in all just a great site. ETR needs to put up big numbers for the match tour there and go kick some asphalt at the vette museum. JY

I was really interested in what you all thought of the asphalt up there. When I went to the first event last year I thought the entire venue was great. I hear they now have bathrooms? They only had out houses when I went. I can't wait for the Match Tour... problem is most people think it will not happen even though the 120 minim has been lifted. I think some of you stayed at Country Hearth Inn how was it? Trip Advisor says it's not so good? I've got a room there for the Match Tour if it happens. You can't find results anywhere. I posted to Jarod Hix (TRSCCA) when and where it will be. Glad you had good time.

Lin says we are not staying at the hearth inn when we go to the match tour the site is great but the grip level was not as good as I thought it would be, as we had to drop the rear pressures down 3 pounds just to get the back to work. James drove great but said the same thing about the grip level. Two really close calls on guard rail contact but that was due to the elements being positioned wrong and that created a bad transition and if you didn't hit your marks, you were looking at guard rails up close. Still just port a potty for bathrooms.

I didn't think it was very slippery at all and I ran the same pressures. There were really only two places to judge that. A big left had sweeper into a slalom and the finish. I thought the grip level was consistent with pelli and judging from the turnaround, perhaps grippier than Dixie was. I think any grip loss would have been due to temperature, but we ended up needing to spray after both our fourth runs. Anyway, it's very difficult to tell, because the average speeds in the cornering elements at NCM were MUCH higher than your average cornering speeds at Pelli. Working on the vid now.

first off - great bonzai run Chris! One of my favorite parts of autox is hero runs, and no one was gonna touch that run of yours yesterday.

unfortunately, that lot is slick as snot.. not as bad as the jet port, but not far off either. I was pedaling between 1/2 and 3/4 throttle at all times or it drove up into wheelspin very quickly, the mustang just couldn't stretch her legs out there. I think Brian Johns was pretty far back too - I guess having sticky, slick tires doesn't do much good when everyone is sliding around on that layer of grit the new asphalt/concrete has on top.
