Anybody planning on running ESP or CP this year
Anybody planning on running ESP or CP this year
just curious what some of the other pony cars are planning to do this year.

If SM is as competitive as it was last year, I'll more than likely stay. The only hang up is I am still waiting on my tax information so I can see what I can change on the car.not cbring wrote:Run SM. I don't feel any sort of common ground with WRXs and VWs. Nothing against those cars, but my V8 rwd car is very different from those things. I really could care less about PAX, that's not what its about. I just want to see the pony cars run with/against other pony cars
I may end up running in the mod class later in the year anyway if I can ever get the little car running

I'm game if you want to throw SFCs in the list as well. Nothing against the rally cars, but it would be cool if we had sort of a 'muscle car' shoot out.tnturbo wrote:What I would like to see is a sort of gentlemen's agreement locally where those of us with gear swaps agree that we all have gear swaps and run ESP anyway.
Personally I would throw tube chassis cars in the mix too. I jsut kind of like hearing the V8s at one time
I prefer the NASA class system http://www.nasa-southeast.com/nasax.shtml

I don't have a dog in this fight but I would suggest that you guys bump to CP if you have things done that exceed CP. That way, you don't have to worry about having someone ask you guys to move half way through the season. CP is going to cover so many allowances that if you have something done that technically doesn't meet the CP rules (change stroke for example) then probably nobody will care.
If you make a gentleman's agreement that you won't protest each other for subframe connectors, replaced rear gear, no carpet, etc then that is great until someone new comes up and asks you guys to run in the appropriate classes.

I tend to agree. I'd hate for someone new to come along, find things unfair, and NOT speak up because they are new or feel like they are a guest.MARKP wrote:I don't have a dog in this fight but I would suggest that you guys bump to CP if you have things done that exceed CP.
