You just register for the event. There is no one day option. You can run only one day if you want, but there's not a discount or "one day fee". I'm guessing (based on other threads) that karts are at your discretion. There is no safety issue, but there is a part of the site that will probably not make you too happy in a kart/formula car.

If you register, run one day and nobody else shows or they break, you could still get the points. Heck, you might be faster than a kart getting stuck on the grate in a Miata on Bridgestones.

Are we going to do the +10 second bogie times for DNF's or did not start? Weird things can happen but it rewards never giving up.

Yeah, I'm probably in the same boat, depending on the weather (and how hungover I'll be after the beer festival on Saturday).

Wow. $60. I was expecting $40 like last year. I know it's a neat event with a unique scoring system and all and a once a year thing, but that's simply not worth it to drive on a bumpy lot that's inferior to PSCC.

The lot rental is more this year than we expected for the 2 day event and we had to go up on the price to cover lot fee.

I honestly dont understand the gripe about the price. As JY said, the lot isnt cheap and they upped the price. Look at it this way, if you''re running both days, its $5 more per day than Pelli. All of us seem to have bookoo bucks for tires, but $5 more per day to run at a different venue? No way! not to mention everyone is getting a meal provided. Seems like bang for the buck to me when you lay it all out. Now granted, $60 for one day is pricey, but again, TIRES!

Really, we aren't charging any more for this event than we do for a local. $20 goes to SEDiv since this is a divisional event. If you run the divisional, which is a lot of fun, and win your class, you get some nice awards. If I recall correctly, they also have awards at the event.

So you get a different venue, a party, a different scoring system, a two day event, more competition, and the possibility to win some nice stuff. Sounds like a bargain to me.

Boy,!!! if this is a new twist. They raised the cost of using the lot????? What lot are they talking about??? Did they make some new improvements to the pavement??? Or do we still avoid the sewer lids, and no further comment. realy.....

I wasn't complaining about the event price, $60 is fine for a two day. Just wisI didn't have to pay that to play only Sunday, sorry if i wasn't clear. Its even better for a Charity event like Bristol Chilhowee or Adesa.

Something else to consider is that our typical member price of $25 is $5-$10 below average as well. Sorry for you guys that can't commit to both days, but that's racing I guess. I also disagree that Smokies is inferior to Pellissippi. Neither are great, but smokies is smoother overall, as bad as that sounds.
