4/26/15 event

Post by MARKP »

I just wanted to thank everyone for their hard work today. We had a lot of people that pitched in and helped and that helped us get through the event as quickly and smoothly as possible. I hope everyone enjoyed the course today. I wish I had been able to focus on it a little better but it seemed fun to me. Thanks to all the Chattanooga Region people that came up to run with us. Also, it was good to see our friends from NC and KY there. I think we ended up with 94 entries today, 4 runs, and done at about 4pm. Great job everyone!

I'm looking forward to our event there on the 17th.

Thanks to Brian/Disney/Paul/Ariel/Coatney for registration help and getting us ready to go. Also thanks to everyone that pre-registered and/or did a good job getting in line to get registered on time.

Great time, what a good Novice turn out! I enjoyed the course, thanks for all the hard work put in. It ran smooth except for everyone jumping through hoops in grid trying to not trip sound. I loved seeing some of the wild ideas people had trying to not DNF. From baby diapers to watered down rags, it was a gambit.

Let me put on record..I did not design one single cone on course! Lol
However... I liked the course.. yep, it's was hard to drive fast ..and didn't flow the best.. but, you could really flick a car thru some of those elements!
I give.... thumbs up!!

Thanks to all the people who put this together I had a great time and won my first shirt :D :D (I hope it wasn't the last). Thanks to Mike Koty for letting me drive your car on the magic bridgstones. Yes they are that much better than my dunlops. I'm learning more and more each time out and need to get a little more aggressive. :fight:
Mike Kelly I will do all I can to help you out with sound if you need it. You seemed a little frustrated with sound today even before the issues

Thanks to all involved in what was another super event. Seems to just be a pattern as all of our events are awesome. Much appreciation to all the folks who get there early and leave late to give us a good course and event.

We had great time! well worth the drive up from Chattanooga. Really friendly group to run with. The course was tricky but fun and made good use of a tight lot. We wi;; be back thanks all. :)

The weather was not the best but no rain, it had most of us looking for warmer stuff to put on bout mid second into third run group. But we got it done.

Thanks to all! Registration and timing ran like a well oiled machine as it seems most other areas did as well. Great event!

Like everyone else said. Great event. Timing ran smooth as can be as did everything else really. Even though the course was essentially the same as last time, I felt like it was fairly easy to drive, but still a challenge to drive fast.

On a side note, I added another coffee mug to the collection that I keep with the club. Who could I reach out to recover them from the stash before the next event?

I will be there tomorrow night ( Tuesday night ) about 5:30 if you want to meet me there. I designed this course with the uphill run so we could see how loud we were at the condos, the top half of the lot is so difficult to do anything with but what we do. I wanted to start at the bottom and go at an angle first and then around pin cone and thru slalom but it was too hard visually and we made a adjustment on the fly. Overall a decently fair course as JB was on another planet, but with that said James ran a 56.233 in my car and if it would have been clean JB and Cathers would have tied at a 47.741 and we would have had to gone to the fourth number to see who won and you can't ask for nothing more than that. Great job by all that helped out at the end in getting the course picked up and put up, much appreciation to all of those.

what he said … very similar (at least on the bottom) to a couple of previous courses … if we run this same configuration enough time maybe I'll learn how to drive it

thanks to all … had a lot of fun … looks like there's a new challenger in STS … fun times

I posted this in the Solo Board thread.. but maybe all drivers need to read it.

"I actually played with the SuperTrapp.. and got it down to a (proper setup meter) 91.2 db Without any baffle at all it went 97 ish. that's how I remember it ! At 91.2 db.. its really hard to even hear the cars rev range inside during a run. I noticed very little performance change.

btw.. I did 57.6 at 91.2 db.. and 57.5 at 97 db. hardly worth the added noise."
