May 17th event

Post by jcox07 »

Our May 17th event is less than 2 weeks away and Curt Boegemann is the chair for this event. Any chiefs that have any issues, please IM JY or Curt with those issues. Thanks JY

I have a stage event that weekend and will be "on call", Sunday. JY is going to chair and I'll chair one of his Pellissippi events later. Thanks, JY.

That is all...

See that is how it works But as far as set up and the rest go then we need help to complete the circle....What if I am the chief, then who would set up besides Bob Ross ? and who knows the complete way to hook everything up? Much less the proper way to put these items back into the trailer? My way is at the end of an event everything must be put away and the genset turned off and loaded before any body knows who won what class. I think that is fair game since we seem to have so many that leave before the event has been completed and that only means that much more work for the rest of us.We volunteer to make these events happen, If you want to help out to make things happen then step up and if you have a question just ask we will show or train you on how these things go.THANKS To those that read this and act.

I think Bob is asking for volunteers to learn equipment setup and teardown of the electronic equipment.

I think Stuart is filling that role now. (He is not a regular forum reader). In fact he has one timing light and a role of cable at his place to repair.

I just have one roll of damaged cable at the moment. After the next event I will replace the timing light boxes and write-up a few work instructions.

See how this goes! I have asked Stu to help out at the BallPark and he did. Thanks to Stu, from me. I just asked him if he could follow up on sunday and he did. After the last event when the timing light got blasted and a cable got rolled over and crushed to no signal, I asked him if his dad would fix it and he stepped up and said he would make it right. We only lost about ten feet of the new cable this time. It is great that he can and knows how to make new timing light boxes from the milk crates.I hope he can improve the stance on them. I am sure he will.

I will be there with the boys, so I won't be running or working. Ben Keefer has agreed to take my place for this event.

You should run. I'm sure there are some willing kid watchers while you are running.
