I live in Knoxville am I''m planning to try solo/autocross this year. I wanted to introduce myself. I have no track or autocross experience and am hoping to participate in a starting line or other school this spring. I daily drive a C63 AMG but decided to start with something substantially cheaper and a bit more forgiving so I recently picked up a 95 Miata.

Cool deal. You going to try and build the car for a certain class or just run it stock?

I have no immediate aspirations other than to improve my driving ability and having a little fun at least for the first year. We'll see after that.

Welcome Dan. Great car to start with. I started last year using same year Miata. Had a blast and everyone is very friendly and helpful within ETR.

Welcome Dan. You picked an excellent car to start with. They are fast and controllable. Our first event is march 12 which is a test and tune. It's an informal event where you can meet everyone and get your feet wet racing without any stress . I'll be there and will be happy to walk you through all the elements of an autocross. Hope you enjoy it cause the next day is our 1st competition event of the season. Looking forward to meeting you
