It looks like the weather for the February 27th event at zmax will be mid 50's and good enough to make the trip. CCR has opted to do away with their STM class for this year, so if you are planning on going make sure your car will fit in a national class. We are planning on going as long as the weather stays good and will probably leave on Friday around 3pm.

I have a gig that night, so I can't make it... Plus i don't think the car will be ready. Lol.
Stupid work being busy

I'm planing on being there given the weather.

Giving the amount of people on the entry list I am thinking I will probably not go. I think 3 runs is about all you will get.

If they have 100 to 125 you will get 4 to 5 runs, if they have more than 125 then the runs will probably be 3-4.

Their courses don't usually cross. That means they can have three or four cars on course at the same time. I don't remember ever having less than four runs. But then, my memory isn't what it used to be.

CCR AX#7, zMax, 161 entrants with times, four runs. FTD raw was 58.921 in a very fast kart. The median time was ~76 seconds.

You may only get four runs, but with the long course, you get a lot of seat time. The course designs vary. Sometimes they're fast and open, like a National course.

I doubt they'll get 160 entrants for February 27.

I've always got 4 or more runs at zMax even when the count was near 200.

I might have to make the journey then! Anyone need a roomie if they go?

I had trouble booking a room close to the track. All the close Hampton Inn's were booked for Friday night. I found a room about twenty minutes away, but there weren't very many rooms left there.

Looks like a good course if you need to work on slaloms, and I do. It's going to be hard to not overdrive the entrance to the first slalom. It looks like you need to treat the last cone in the left wall at Igloos as the first cone of the slalom and backside it.
