ETR RallyX 2016 #1 is in the books!

Ok.. Well maybe I need to do a little more after the event work to actually close it out and say it's in the books...
23 competitors started the day on the course laid out by Matt Earl (thanks to Matt for securing the site) and Sean McDonald. I wish I could say where everyone was from. I know Tennessee and Alabama, thinking Kentucky, maybe Ohio and Georgia?? The white stuff floating in the air early in the morning was snow. I'm glad we picked April for the first event... When it will be warm.....
First car off at 10:30. Last car around 3. Everyone got 8 runs. A couple of timming issues which looked to be dirt on the trip contacts, cleaned off during the lunch break. Only 2 cars quit for mechanical reasons. And then there were fun runs.
Wes, the site/field owner was very pleased and wants to know when the next event will be. He will be working on easier access to the site, and smoothing out the field.
Who wants to tear up some dirt next month???
Thanks to everyone who helped getting the event to work. Ok.. Maybe I was a wee bit stressed, hoping it would go smoothly for the competitors.
