The stock GM units were the best, I'm running a set of those know. When they fail, I'm going the Strano route.
I have in my garage all the components to convert to a 3rd gen setup, but the Strano keep ABS functionality.

Timkin bearings seemed to be hit or miss. 315 r comps pretty much chewed through everything in one or two events. As for the Timken bearings, I need to talk to my coworker. I could have sworn he worked for Timken here in the states. That doesn't mean the bearings I bought were not made outside the states, but he may know more about them than we do.
