Any one have any sugestions on getting a vehicle weighed without having to go buy racing scales?

AirCooled Classics has scales. I think they charge about $120 to cornerweight the car. I'll bet they wouldn't charge you much just to let you drive up and get a weight reading.
Also, I've weighed cars/trailers at truck stops and local county dumps. I won't say they're super accurate, but it will give you a good idea. Actually the last time I weighed a car at the Blount Co. Landfill, it was within 50 pounds of what an expensive set of Longacre scales read.

Go down to the waste disposal station near Mechanicsville(all the way down Middlebrook Pike). When you go to drop off trash they weigh your vehicle on the way in. The lady that works the scale will tell you the vehicle weight for free. Granted, that isn't separate corner weight, but it's good enough for totals.
