I need to borrow a Miata or a sawzall

Post by thrdeye »

Damn the weather is going to be nice this weekend and I need a topless car. We scheduled the school one week too early.

...and then I'll provide the sawzall.

We can make a DP car out of that thing!

I am really kicking the idea of getting a convertible beater. Something used that gets decent mileage that is cheap and pretty reliable.

Any ideas?

Heres what I do!!

I just get a car that looks just like my race car/trailer queen.......but CONVERTABLE! :) Despite the V6, and auto tranny it at least makes me THINK i'm in a quicker car.

I figured I'd see this from ya eventually Chris. You go around thinkin', "Miatas, they're cool but I can take it or leave it." Then ya drive one and suddenly:

BAM!! You're bit dude!!1!

I've been looking in ebay for Miatas. I really wouldn't be able to buy one, but I can look and pretend.

Couple of nice 97 models on there as well as a 94.

Miata is fun, but a t-top MR2 is still very open and fun too. I test drove a 91 Miata the other day and the kid sold it out from under me after I told him I'd give him his asking price. I have a CHEAP sunroof MR2 for sale right now. $700 drives it home.
