7 psi per hour is a big leak. You should be able to find it by pouring water on the tire. In fact, you may be able to find it by visual inspection of the tire for whatever may be stuck in it. If it is in the side wall or the area where the tread meets the side wall, you will need to replace the tire...

I agree with Wayne and Dave. Practicing apexing and car positioning while driving on the street needs to be emphasized as a mental exercise while abiding by all traffic laws and driving safely. Practicing fast enough to have significant tire slip angles means you will be unsafe on the street even if...

I would love to see stock class on for real street tires. The only reason I run STS is to avoid the hassle of loading wheels and tires, hauling them to each event, installing them, taking them back off, hauling them home, and unloading them. That is too much like work. I think this explains at least...

I bet you could get biscuits and maybe gravy too at the Melton Hill Market. It has been many years since I ate there but I still remember the smoke filled room. Smoke from the grill that is. Vaporized grease too.

Good advice. I think anyone who cares about getting their times recorded accurately will follow this advice with no broken kneecaps necessary. Novices, on the other hand will need some assistance when they are taping paper numbers on. This might be a topic for the novice instructors to cover. Also, ...

Chris, Since 9/11, Bethel Valley Road has been closed to through traffic so you will not be able to enter it from the west end. There is a guard portal on the east side of Oak Ridge National Lab a mile or two west of the intersection with Scarboro Road and another near the intersection with Route 95...

Chris, I put directions in the original post. There is one minor correction. When you arrive at the traffic light at Scarboro road and turn left, you turn onto Pumphouse Road. The road sign on the right, which you will see first, does say Scarboro Road but there is also a sign further up on the left...

Scott, I had to give a time period when I reserved the pavillion so I chose a long one thinking that people with busy schedules could take advantage of the annual tech opportunity. If you can't stay that long, it's OK. I agree that if most of the work is done early it leaves more time to socialize. ...

I have catologue shopped from Harbor Freight for years and generally have been satisfied. On my first trip to their store in Knoxville shortly after it opened, I took the time to wander up and down all the aisles and look carefully at much of their merchandise. I was surprised by how much of it was ...

I second Michael's complement to Ted Russell on Parkside Drive. I have had excellent service there for both my Focus and my wife's Focus. By the way, their service department is open on Saturdays.

Wayne,

I assumed you would have plenty of rule books left to bring to the next meeting but it looks like they are going fast so I would like to reserve one of the Solo rule books. I can pick it up at the February meeting.

Thanks,
Dewey

Thanks, Scott, for answering the question about annual tech. I was planning to e-mail Dave a copy of the annual tech form to post on the web site and will do so today. If you qualify and want to get your car annual teched please post a reply so I can get an idea of how many are interested. This tech...
